pickin's are so good!
we have made three trips to the strawberry patch thus far and Josie has gotten to be quite good at picking the ripe strawberries (she picked her basket herself) and Ada continues to be quite successful at "picking" mouthfuls of berries from our baskets!

potato prints
Josie and I were crafty this week and made some potato printed mother's day cards this year for Josie's grandma and nana - we hope you liked them. Happy Mother's day!
Pick! Pick!
I took the girls strawberry picking this week with one of our neighbors and Ada learned a new word - "pick" (see definition in second picture below - "pick" i.e. to select a strawberry out of the box of mama's strawberries for eating!).

these shoes were made for squeaking
I have neglected to announce that Ada is finally walking! She took her first steps at about 14 months and then started walking full time at 16 months. And since then she has been squeaking all over town, leaving smiles in her wake!
Josie's Spring Break
The girls and I joined up with friends and family at the beach over Josie's spring break. The girls enjoyed playing in the sand, sticking their toes in the numbingly cold Atlantic, and a trip to the Aquarium. For pictures from Ben's spring break (we spent a long weekend at his parents' house) and another Aquarium trip see the pictures that follow the Easter pics below.
