Easter Merry-making
The girls have really started to look forward to holidays (especially since they have realized that holidays are usually accompanied by some type of yummy treat and fun activities!). They enjoyed dying eggs this year (thanks to a great tip from the Family Fun magazine, which suggested popping the egg into the middle of a whisk for easy dipping into the dye. Ben made the Lamb Cake, which is a traditional cake that his grandma Jo used to make. And of course, there were numerous rounds of egg hunts.
Pigtails
I just had to include these pics of the one and only day that Ada has allowed me to put her hair in pigtails! I think she looks adorable, but Ada would rather not bother with standing still long enough for me to do anything to her hair. (and now she insists on putting on her own hair bows, which has made for some interesting new hair styles!)
Josie's 2nd & 3rd b-day parties
Josie ended up celebrating her birthday two more times! We had planned on a family birthday party the weekend following her birthday, but Ada got sick and the party was cancelled...well, Josie's Daddy didn't want the b-day girl to be disappointed so we ended up celebrating as a family anyway and then celebrated again the following weekend with family - hopefully Josie won't remember next year that she had three parties, three cakes, and three times to open presents, etc.!!!
