A big THANK YOU to Jill at homemade by Jill for the idea for this felt playhouse (it fits over a card table) that i whipped up for the girls for their Christmas gift. Much bonding with my sewing machine was required to get this thing ready in time for Christmas, but it was well worth the work. I love the elements that Jill has incorporated to make this not only a fun playhouse, but also fun to play with - i.e. you can pick the apples off the tree, pick corn from the husks, pick carrots from the garden and flowers from the grass. Also, the mail box can be opened to pass mail through to the house (yes - this is still a work in progress...I have a few ears of corn left to make and a few flowers!). The girls have really enjoyed it and the only drawback has been due to the speed that they like to enter and exit the house - i.e. it is not so great when Josie collides head on into Ada as they are each going full throttle in or out of the house! They did discover that they can go through the doggie door, so that has cut down on a few mishaps!
