Jude is now six months, can you believe it?!!! He is still our BIG boy - weighing in at 20 lbs (93%), and is 27.5 inches long ((80%)! He is eating his first solids and hasn't turned anything down yet (he gave some pretty funny faces for carrots, but finished the jar nonetheless!). He is almost sitting on his own (he still teeters over), and can get places by inching along and rolling. He is quite sweet, smiley and ticklish! Oh and extremely loveable!

Ben had fun making these halloween treats for the girls...it's been almost a month since he made these, but they were so cute and yummy, I had to post them!

and we're back!
Well, here I am again, hopelessly behind with posting updates - we've had much to celebrate this fall..Jude was baptized, Ada turned three, Josie has her first wiggly tooth and can read! See below and beyond for some pictures from the last couple of months. I hope to post an update on Jude soon!
SUPERkids!
Our super gang enjoyed the All Saint's Fair this year as well as trick-or-treating. On our way through the neighborhood, Josie exclaimed, "this is the best night I've ever had!" She has been absolutely thrilled with her stockpile of candy - it has been sorted, counted, and lined up. Each oppurtunity she gets to partake of its goodness involves some thoughtfull and painstaking deliberation as to which treat will be eaten next. She even dreamed of trick-or-treating...we heard her call out, "TRICK-OR-TREAT" loudly in her sleep twice the night of Halloween!!! Ada on the other hand, was most excited about the six-pack of crackers she received!!!
ADA is THREE!
Ada turned three on Oct. 18 and for this second celebration (see the first below) of her birthday, she requested pumpkin pie for her birthday treat (that was proceeded in the morning by pumpkin pancakes)!
Ada's first b-day celebration
We celebrated Ada's b-day early with family that had come for Jude's baptism. Ada wanted a Triceratops party, so thanks to the creativity of her daddy, that's what she got!
Reptile Visitors
One week we had a few reptiles come to visit - we had a mama garter snake and four or five babies right outside our front door and a box turtle out on our back patio (Ben brought him inside for a few hours for a visit).
Let the Countdown Begin!
This was Ada's first year to countdown to her birthday. A few times she succeeded in taking down more than one loop per day when she hit up both her mama and her daddy for help in taking one down!
apple and pumpkin pickin'
Many apples were picked, eaten, and baked in pies this fall! We enjoyed trips to Carter Mountain and I enjoyed joining Josie on her class's trip to Graves Mountain.

FIRST DAY
The BIG DAY finally arrived - Josie started Kindergarten today! In celebration of this day, we all gathered for a family breakfast, featuring Josie's favorite waffles. Then after a quick photo shoot outside, some goodbyes to the T-Rex she had chalked the day before with Daddy, Ada and I waved her goodbye (Daddy took her in and Jude slept through the whole event!). We missed our big girl this morning. I took Ada and Jude to the Discovery museum and Ada had a great time (she had been begging me to take her for days), but when Ada rode on the merry-go-round at the end of our visit, she wanted Josie to ride with her. And on the way home, she wanted to pause her favorite song so that Josie wouldn't miss it. We missed her.

Jude at THREE MONTHS!
Our Jude - what can we say? We love this little fellow! At three months, he is still sleeping most of the day and night, but during his wakeful times he is loving the outside world, his hanging animal friends (on his baby playmat), his baths, and (of course) his adoring sisters! He enjoys speaking in paragraphs of "Ahhh's" and "Ah-goos's" and loves animal noises (especially the wolf, which he attempts to imitate).
